Wedding Cakes

How our wedding cake consultations work is you will choose your favorite 6 cake combinations from the lists provided that you would like to try. Once we have a pick up date decided on when that day comes we will prepare them neatly in a box for you and your fiancé to pick up and take home to try. This will give you time to try the flavors in the privacy of your own home and narrow down the details of your order. If you would like to proceed with us as your wedding cake bakers you may contact us via phone, social media, or just coming by the shop. At that time we can go over all the details or set up a time to sit down and talk about the details. 

We started offering our wedding cake consultations this way, because over the past few years we've noticed how life can be so busy. A lot of times the brides and grooms had a hard time setting up a time to sit down with us between work and our limited hours. So, this option gives you more freedom on time and a relaxing setting of trying cake with your loved one!

Things to keep in mind when you are ready to place your order are-

• How many people you would like to feed so we know what size cake to price.
• The design of the cake. Inspiration pictures are encouraged, however we make no claims for exact duplications.
• Would you like to save the top tier for your 1 year anniversary? 
• Would you like to add a grooms cake?
• If you would like to supplement with other desserts such as, cupcakes, pies, sheet cakes...etc.

You are not limited to cake for your special day! We can make any dessert you desire. Some of the most popular options are macarons, decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes, classic cookies, and mini pies!

We always offer delivery and set up with every wedding order. The price for delivery and set up varies depending on the location of your venue! Although it's not recommended, you are not required to have your cake delivered. 

The Vanilla Bean is not liable for any damage that may occur after the cake is picked up or delivered. 

The client assumes full responsibility arranging for the caterer/ servers to cut, serve, and remove all existing supports inside of the cake. All cake supports are made of non-toxic products. The Vanilla Bean is not responsible for any injuries that may occur due to failure to remove necessary supports.

The client is responsible for providing a safe environment during transit (if not having it delivered) and at the location. Always support the cake box on the bottom. Holding it on the sides is not enough support for heavy cakes. Cakes and other desserts require a sturdy table and kept at a temperature of 75 degrees or below.

The Vanilla Bean is not responsible for any damage the product may endure due to the environmental conditions in which the product is stored or displayed (Locations, temperature, weather...etc.).

You may store your cake in the fridge until an hour or two prior to the event, but be sure to remove any toppers that may get damaged from the moisture in the refrigerator then place them back once the cake is taken out.

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit for all custom orders which is due at the time of booking to reserve the date needed. You are able to pay this by coming into the shop to pay in person or we can send you an invoice to your email that you can easily pay online.

The final balance is due 1 month prior to your event. You are also more than welcome to make payments leading up to the 1 month mark.

We take great pride in all of our products. If you are not happy with your order when picking it up or within 24 hours of your delivery, immediately notify us of your concern by phone, in person, or by messaging us on Facebook. At that time you may return the product to us so we may evaluate the product. We taste our product daily and if your product does not meet our expectations then you may qualify for a refund.

Refunds and store credits will not be available if we are not contacted within 48 hours.

We also cannot issue refunds for products that have been completely consumed.

All issues and complaints are determined in a case by case basis.

If you do not accept your order at the time of pick up or delivery you will be issues a partial refund at our discretion and you will not be allowed to keep the product. It is a "take it or leave" policy that you either choose to keep it at full price or you forfeit the product by receiving the refund.

These policies are put in place to help protect us from people who complain just to receive their money back even if their order met their expectations just didn't want to pay for it.
